Hello,
I want to mesh an object (solid) inside an hypersonic airflow (fluid) in ICEM CFD (2D). I tried several options to generate two separate meshes (one for the solid object) and one for the surrounding air (fluid) which is bounded by the farfield. I couldn't find an helpful answer to this problem in any forum. I would be very helpful if somebody could help me find the solution for this problem. Thank you very much. |

To add some information:
I am interested in the heat transfer in my solid body and its surface temperature (as they are critical during hypersonic flight conditions). I am currently trying to create an ICEM file for the fluid mesh and an other ICEM file for the solid mesh. Then I will load them both into the Ansys Fluent solver and assign them their values there. With this method I believe it can get rather hard to match the grid resolution at the contact areas of the solid and fluid. I hope somebody has experience with this. Thanks |
