Default MultiZone not creating uniformly sized mesh

Hey everyone, I have been using MultiZone to generate a uniform mesh on a part with 2 separate bodies, and generally it has been working fine, and produces a mesh like so on the interior body:

FLAT1.PNG

However, when I modify the geometry slightly to include interruptions, the mesh stops being uniform and turns out like so:

INTERRUPT1.PNG

I am using edge sizing on all the vertical edges to coarsen the mesh in the y-direction which has worked fine until now, however it seems that in this case it causes the whole mesh to coarsen. I have tried using body sizing to force the smaller mesh in the other directions but to no avail.

Any ideas how I could get around this?

Hi Anthony,

What do you mean by "interruptions" ? If there are small indents that you try to mesh as well between the different bodies you'll need to help the multizone method. Also it can depend on which body the mesher is starting with > you can control that with named selection and meshing steps.
