Hi Everyone,
I am trying to mesh a 2D geometry created in Solidworks. It's an external geometry. I'm using Ansys workbench and the geometry imports just fine, but when I click on the meshing tab, I get an error that says "Plugin error: No valid bodies found for 2D analysis in the following parts: <filename>". I seem to have traced the problem to the fact that my Solidworks surface body has multiple line segments that make up the inner body, as I was able to get everything to work for a similar file which just has one continuous line as the inner body. I'm attaching links two Solidworks files, one that worked and one that didn't (sorry, system won't let me upload the files directly.) https://www.dropbox.com/s/djgb0k8cgs...rk.SLDPRT?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/bqhk7e7rn8...ks.SLDPRT?dl=0 Any thoughts on what I should do to get rid of the error? Thanks very much, Erica |
