Good day everyone!
I have a rather complex geometry to mesh. It consists of only the tip of a wing. The wing has a rounded leading edge and a sharp trailing edge and the tip is not flat but it has a complex curvature with the rounded leading edge merging with the trailing edge. Please, see the pictures attached of the geometry. wing-tip-mesh001.jpg wing-tip-mesh002.jpg wing-tip-mesh003.jpg wing-tip-mesh004.jpg wing-tip-mesh005.jpg I want to mesh the geometry with HEXA. Yet, a reliable blocking strategy is still eluding me. The leading edge needs a C-grid, however collapsing the trailing edge is giving problems when propagating through the rest of the domain. Is this geometry possible to mesh with hexa without modifying the geometry??? |

I have been working long on this meshing project and the closest I have managed to achieve the mesh that I am looking for is the following:
- Produced C-ring around blade in Z(view). - Collapsed all blocks in the Z-direction around the blade. This blocking strategy manages to capture more or less the geometry. With good quality overall. However, the leading edge is not refined enough and the quality of the mesh instantly drops when increasing the bunching in the region. I need too improve the resolution in the area as it is part of a chimera mesh. |
