Dear All,
I wonder if it is possible to generate prism layers with different 'Prism Meshing Parameter' on different walls in ICEM. The idea here is to adjust the 'Initial Height' of the layer to the flow parameters of the core flow in adjacent to each wall accordingly, hence keeping y+ similar on all walls whilst the freestream velocity varies. Has anyone ever done this? Many thanks. |

Yes, this is possible. In the meshing tab, the second Icon gives you a table with all named walls. In this table, you can set anything you like to get any prisms layer you can imagine. Look in the help for the correct settings.
I would suggest to perform a few tests to see what you get. |
