Hi Every Body ;

I am doing meshing for my geometry ( 3D airfoil into a rectangular fluid domain). I am using Ansys ( meshing & Fluent)

I must introduce manual contact regions to create connexion between airfoil and fluid domain ( in the order to create conformal mesh).

However , i have found some tetorials wherein people DELETE completely contact regions ( In the order to avoid overlapping mesh with Fluent).

My questions are :

1/ By introducing CONTACT REGIONS , do we really create conformal mesh ( which connect between interfaces) ?

2/ If yes , why people in tutorials get true results despite they suppress contact regions ?

I am very thankful for your help .

Best regards

Manel
