Hello everybody,

itīs me again .

My problem statement is as follows:

- I have meshed a volute with a bottom up approach. Then after merging the two ends and closing the blocking I get at one block an unwanted inner surface mesh (see pictures for clarification for what I mean)

Of course my first thought was that there is a wrong association, but that is actually not the case (or I just donīt see it)

Any ideas what the cause of this problem is or in which direction is should look?

Thanks a lot for your help and have a nice day!

It's likely a similar issue as in your previous post (Bottom Up Approach Merge Vertices at the end)

Disassociate that internal face to remove any automatically set properties. Also check the corner verticies whether there is any one mapped to surface.
It might be the case, that internal faces are not highlighted with a frame, but they are still selectable in the frame selection mode. You'd have to click at the position where such a frame would appear.
