Hello guys!
I am trying to simulate the flow over an uav with tail wing for my final year project. When i try to mesh it with default settings, it gives a failed mesh with the following messages:
1.Mesh can not be generated with the current settings.Try reducing the size.
2.Meshing failed on one or more faces.

If i reduce the minimum size of the elements, a mesh is generated successfully but it takes almost 40 minutes and has about 50 lakh elements.I cant run the simulation with so many elements as i dont have a high end processor and no. of test cases is also high.

What should i do to generate a mesh with less number of elements?

Thanks in advance!

Check with surface. There could be some complex area where the mesh is penetrating.
I believe the reduction in size is solving that problem, but bigger element size is giving a failed message.

But if i reduce the element size, number of elements becomes very large around 6 million. My pc doesnt have that much processing ability.
And it takes almost an hour to generate the mesh.

Hello, you can make a special size for only the area needs the small size. By selecting that body or that particular face and set a small value for the cell size. The issue is generated from the fact that the body is complex and the big values give a high skewness value. You should overcome this by any way.
Danke!
