Hello,

I'm having troubles in meshing a wing with a wing-tip tank. I tried blocking as you can see in the picture, I get no errors in mesh checking, but there is a strange behaviour of the mesh on the tank.

Can someone help me?

These are the links of the images

Hi micdg96,

it seems you are not yet finished with blocking.

You blocking does not respect the curvature on the tip of the tank. You might need a local c-grid there. Right now there seems to be one face which has to cover half a sphere.

If the picture at the tail is also an issue (i cant really see, the resolution is too coarse), then you need to check, whether you don't degenerate a block in that area (such as merged vertices/edges).

Do you know about the guide Simons Tips and Tricks (read the stick post of this subforum)? It might give you a bit more insight, why you get the current mesh from your blocking.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Thank you Sebastian. Doing a Local C-Grid around the spheric surface solved my problem!
