Antang808 is on a distinguished road
I'm trying to do this exact problem outlined here that models an impeller with a fixed zone condition of a given velocity profile: http://www.afs.enea.it/project/neptu...ug/node234.htm

I created the two rectangular surfaces (both frozen) then did a subtract boolean of the small rectangle from the with preserve the tool body but when I open the mesher, it does not automatically detect an interface between two fluid bodies. I believe I need two separate fluid bodies and that interface so in Fluent I can assign a fixed velocity profile in the box to simulate an impeller or some type of actuator.

Here's how it looks since CFD-online doesn't let me upload pics: https://imgur.com/a/qL5l9Up

Gweher will become famous soon enough
Hi Antony,

Well you already have 2 separate bodies. You just need to define an interface using named selections, either directly in design modeller or in mechanical before transferring the mesh to Fluent.

Have fun
