Hello everyone, I would like to ask you for advice and help to mesh the following pipe, it is based on the
1+ 0.1sen (2 * pi * x) function and I need to have the highest precision and refinement in the curved wall of the figure and that on the Z axis the figure has only 1 cell. having the student version I cannot exceed 512k nodes. |

Hi Sebastian,
If I get it right you want to solve a 2.5D problem (using a one cell in the Z direction). If you want to focus mainly on the upper curved part of the geometry I would suggest to split the geometry with similar function (smaller amplitude and vertical offset) to end up with 2 sub-surfaces. Then in Ansys meshing you can simply add a Face mesh on the upper part with biais edge sizing. Have fun |
