Hello all! I have attached below a section of mesh that I would like to sweep. I would like body 1 and 2 to be a single swept section all the way to body 3 and then to attach at the top When I have body 1 and 2 as a single body I am not able to sweep them and when they are separate I am only able to sweep body 1. This indicates to me that protrusions #4 are preventing sweeping in body 2 even though they are separate bodies...
Is there any way around this problem? I would like to sweep all of bodies 1 and 2 and have them connect to bodys 4. thank you for any advice! |

Hello,
Have you tried to form a new part from bodies 1, 2, and 4 and use a multizone method on those bodies? Also if you are not already using the multizone method, try it before forming a new part. Let me know if it works |

Hi Sebastian,
As Maher suggested I would also try the multizone method. If it fails to generate then you need to go back in the CAD geometry creator and segment the geometry in sub-parts that are sweepable (you can already check in meshing tab > rmb > show sweepable bodies -> if they are not highlighted you need to prepare the geometry better). Have fun |
