Hi
I have been trying to mesh this delta wing for a while and I just cannot get the inflation layer to go around the tip of the wing. I am fairly new to CFD so I don't have too much experience with this sort of thing. The study of this project is varying the sweep angle of this configuration and seeing how it affects the aerodynamic performance and vortex behaviour. The simulation will be at 10/13/18 angle of attack, running either SST or k omega turbulence models. I have set the maximum angle to 180 degrees and played around with growth rate, maximum layers, first layer height and element size. I currently have a rectangular body of influence around the wing section. I am using Design Modeller. I am starting to wonder whether it is a problem with the geometry. I subtracted the configuration from a larger box using the Boolean operation. Can anybody help me as I am really stuck. I've attached some screenshots to help. Jack |
