Hi!
I am doing a study on Energy Saving Devices (ESDs) which are fitted either before/at/after the propeller and help in reduction of rotational/axial/pressure losses. Some examples are pre/post - swirl stator, Wake equalising duct, Nozzle, Propeller boss cap with fins etc. I was thinking of performing CFD calculations(aft-section) on a hull- form(TBD) with the ESD attached (TBD). I am fairly new to CFD and have used ANSYS CFX for studying the simulation of flow around an airfoil. I was wondering which software could I use to perform the above simulation of a flow around aft of a hull-form with propeller and ESD attached. Is it possible in ANSYS CFX? If not, then which software would be easy to learn and perform these simulations. Thanks! Last edited by nikhil07071990; November 22, 2018 at 08:06. Reason: spelling |
