Hello,
I have a .dxf (and an .skp that won't load) of a train car that has ~9000 surfaces. I want to unite them to form a solid body, but doing Boolean Unites on the surfaces results in errors re: opposite normals. I could go through and change the normals one by one, but there must be a better way to do this. Additionally, is there a way to do this better in CREO or SpaceClaim? Maybe AutoCAD? I have attached an image of the train nose |

Spaceclaim has many features that might help you in this situation
you might be able to use stitch operation to create the solid body with one click. but if treating the surfaces as surfaces won`t work, Spaceclaim has special features for facet data such as yours. i`m not familiar with them but I would suggest reading more about the facet tab in the Spaceclaim help manual. The link below might help as well: http://www.spaceclaim.com/en/Support...Tutorials.aspx |
