Hey James,
You must first utilize "add part" function by right clicking "parts" in the tree. Once you are in the selection mode, select the entities that you want be visible ,Give it a name then deactivate everything by checking things off excluding the desired elements Capture.JPG Now that you have done that you now have to click an operation you want to perform from either "edit mesh" tab or "geometry" tab or whatever else After clicking the operations you will now have an option to click "select visible parts (v)" it looks like a pair of glasses! ddd.JPG Hope this works |

Do you speak Korean?
김전 sounds like a Korean name, if not I am sorry; So you are saying that you want to select the elements within the red circle, but you also end up selecting the entities on the bottom right? I do not think there is an easy way to select the parts you only want especially due to your funky geometry. So only thing I can think of is that you be extra careful when selecting things. one way to do it is to do it little by little so what I do sometimes to avoid selecting unwanted elements is that I: 1. select 1~5 elements then do the add part or in your case if it is a mesh than you can create a subset I am pretty sure. 2. deselect the part from the tree so it may be easier to select things 3. add to either parts or subsets depending whether you are dealing with a geometry or mesh respectively This is the process I do when I import a parasolid file with multiple components onto ICEM I do apologize if I am not addressing your question correctly |
