Hello,

I'm trying to mesh the following geometry (it's part of a bigger one, but the rest is sweepable already).

What I do is, I just divide it into three separate cuboids, but this doesn't result in a sweepable body. I think it's because of the small cuboid in between, but I could't figure out how to slice the geometry differently. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to manually select the source and target of the sweep? Also, are you doing one sweep for each cuboid or are you selecting the 3 cuboids for the same sweep?

Hello Joao,

I tried manually selecting, didn't help neither. I am selecting one by one.

I think the problem is that that one in the middle is making the others non-sweepable. When I check the intersection faces, there I see the irregularities. Basically, what I think is that this geometry cannot be swept without some more slicing.

You need to help DesignModeler by projecting (or similar) the small rectangular edges on to the faces of the larger two rectangular bodies. Or you could break the larger bodies using the smaller body and put them all in a MultiBody Part to have a node conformal mesh.

Hey Stuart

Thanks for the answer. It works when you slice the big bodies using the edges of the smaller body in between. That way, all the bodies have sweepable faces. Thanks for the answer.

As I said, don't forget the MultiBody Part as that is generally a good idea.
