I am trying to generate a hybrid 2-d mesh for a backward facing step flow but with an angle given to the step. So, i have divided the domain into blocks and assigned the number of nodes to the rectangular blocks but relying on automatic mesh generator for mesh in the triangular region. but as i reduce the backstep angle to 30 degrees, the mesh starts to miss out elements at the corner. I have tried everything from changing the thickness, growth rate and other parameters that may effect it. I used same approach for higher angles such as 40,45 and 60 and I m fairly new to this world of CFD and would really appreciate any suggestion.
find the photos of 1) geometry, 2) mesh problem at small angle, 3) correct mesh (how it should look). Regards, varun |
