Hi Guys,
I have a geometry, let's say its a pipe with a venturi after. My study is on the flow and see what speed ratio i can get with the venturi, keeping in mind that i have to have a really big domain and study the flow over and inside the "pipe". I have designed the model in SolidWorks then I tried importing it to Ansys Design Modeler. Once I draw a bigger box and try to use boolean to subtract, I get the mani-fold error. I have also read other threads on this issue such as; surface and body issues, edge to face issue. However, I cannot find the problem. I tried drawing a simple model as one part using revolve option (thickness of 10mm) and different sketches. Once it was imported, Design Modeler read as 3 parts and I can apply boolean successfully to 2 parts but there is always an error with one of the parts. Then I tried the actual model with more than 500 parts as assembly it gave the same error. I also tried different file formats. Could you please advise where I am possibly going wrong? Thank you Payar |
