Hi there,
I am trying to model a micro channel using the K-omega SST turbulence model. Firstly I modeled this for smooth flow and everything was great and I was getting a Y+ of 1. Now I have added a surface roughness the Y+ has shot up to 100, I have read the law of the wall and adjusted my geometry appropriately and my roughness size according to the virtually shifting wall but my Y+ is still up around 20-50, I have made many attempts at adjusting the mesh but nothing seems to bring it down. Any recommendations??? If any more info is required please ask |

Its so that I can see how surface roughness influences heat transfer in additively manufactured gas turbine vanes.
apologies for taking so long to get back. |

Hey there its because we want to monitor the heat transfer effects from the rough surface.
