I am having trouble meshing one of my geometry. I went through all the tutorials for hexa meshing. I am still not able to figure out how to mesh this geometry. The geometry is of an experimental setup whose performance I am trying to predict. The geometry consists of three solids: foil, laser zone and paste as shown in Figure 1. Figure 2 shows the same geometry with solid fill.
Following the tutorials I did some initial blocking by creating a 3D bounding box and splitting and deleting unwanted blocks. The final blocking is as shown in Figure 3. I associated the edges of the blocks with corresponding curves and snapped the vertices. Figure 4 shows the situation after snapping vertices. I set the part mesh parameters as shown in Figure 5. The resulting Pre-Mesh was as shown in Figure 6. The meshing is very ugly. The Quality of Pre-mesh is shown in Figure 7. I want to have mesh as shown in Figure 8. I have attached my geometry file with the post. Can anyone suggest how should I proceed to mesh the geometry? Thanks! |
