Hi guys
I've a geometry and several days ago meshed it and ran a calculation (planar not axisymetric) in the fluent and everything was great and got a very well result. here is my mesh:

Some closer images:

Now just tried to ran a calculation in axisymmetric form. I checked the mesh in fluent and got this:

Code:
 Domain Extents:
   x-coordinate: min (m) = -1.083841e+01, max (m) = 4.101589e+00
   y-coordinate: min (m) = -6.191000e-01, max (m) = 1.870900e+00
 Volume statistics:

   minimum volume (m3): -1.734110e-03
   maximum volume (m3): 5.121033e-02
     total volume (m3): 1.510799e+02
   minimum 2d volume (m3): 3.523500e-07
   maximum 2d volume (m3): 4.443599e-03
 Face area statistics:
   minimum face area (m2): 1.683703e-04
   maximum face area (m2): 8.879440e-02

To get more detailed information about the mesh check failure
increase the mesh check verbosity via the TUI command
/mesh/check-verbosity.
Fluent can also try to fix the mesh check problems via the TUI command
/mesh/repair-improve/repair.
And when hit the Quality, got this:

Code:
Mesh Quality:

Minimum Orthogonal Quality = 0.00000e+00
(To improve Orthogonal quality , use "Inverse Orthogonal Quality" in Fluent Meshing,
where Inverse Orthogonal Quality = 1 - Orthogonal Quality)
Warning: minimum Orthogonal Quality below 0.01.

Maximum Aspect Ratio = 1.87832e+19

Fluent can try to improve the mesh quality via the TUI command
/mesh/repair-improve/improve-quality
Then I think I have three problem. Orthogonality, Aspect Ratio and cells with non-positive volume.
Must fix or remesh the geometry but don't know how. Two questions:
1- What kind of cell is better to choose? tetrahedron, tri,...?
2- How to grid edges/lines?

Any suggestion would be appreciate

Hi Roh,

If you take a closer look at the output message you'll see a hint :

You need to create your geometry // mesh in the positive XY plane, it's a requirement for the axisym analysis.

Have fun
