Hi,
I've recently started using ICEM 17 (17.1 and 17.2) and have run into a problem that I can't fix. I have a simple 2D mesh for the forward facing step. I have found that I will need a first cell height of 1.5e-06 to get the desired y+. When I compute the pre-mesh with the options 'project faces/edges' the cell distribution close to some of the edges is not giving me the desired 1.5e-06, it is too big. Is there some kind of setting which fixes the minimum cell height at some edges? I have attached a figure to show what is happening. Point A has the correct cell height (to the left of the step) however at point B the cell height along the x axis will not reduce to 1.5e-06 as specified. Thanks for any help you can give me. |
