Dear All:
Hello! Now, I have another problem which I have struggled couple of days.I think maybe someone can give me some advise. My rpl file let ICEM meshing my file(unstructured) and the mesh quality check is at least 0.35(some books said it is enough to calculate ). when I input my mesh file into fluent(standard k-e model). The calculation cannot converged: the curve of continuity cannot blew 0.0001.And the curve(continuity and k-energy) always shocking between 0.01 to 0.001. The strange situation is : when I use gridgen(old meshing software),even my mesh quality is 0.1 , the calculation in fluent can converged in almost 1000 steps. I just wandering why the better quality mesh cannot give me better result. In ICEM:1. I open tin file 2. I check the geometry. 3. I set the global mesh setup (set smooth mesh )4. I set part mesh setup(one part need more mesh)5. I let ICEM meshing 6. I check the quality(at least 0.35)7. i set output(Fluent solver) 8. input mesh file into fluent to calculation. So do you think the unsuccessful calculation is because my ICEM mesh or maybe is because of my fluent setup? Or maybe is because of unstructured mesh? If I want to use structured mesh can I use rpl file to let ICEM meshing? Or maybe you have your own opinion in my problem, please let me know your ideas~~Thank you~~ Jimmy |
