Bad mesh with strong curvature in ICEM

Hello,
I have been using ANSYS ICEM for the past couple of years but there is a mesh problem that I have been unable to find a solution to. I'm using a block based mesh to mesh a centrifugal compressor. With a coarse mesh, I generated a fairly good quality mesh. But, when I increase mesh density, there is bad mesh at the surface of the blade where there is strong curvature. Looking pre-mesh quality and mesh slice (attached images) it appears that the mesh at the surface is going into the wall and is not orthogonal. I have tried many different options, but nothing appears to fix the problem. Is there an option get the mesh to respect the surface of the geometry and be orthogonal? Thank you, Andrew |
