Program: ANSYS Meshing 16.2

Issue: Mesh quality is poor when meshing a simple volume, sometimes. The Good Mesh and the Poor Mesh are using the same settings (see image) and I have tried meshing with each suppressed while meshing the other, but get the same results. Both volumes are simple cubes. The Poor Mesh wants to taper to a wedge for some reason which is the area of poor mesh. I can not figure out why two similar geometries are meshing completely different.

I have tried sizing methods for edges/faces on the Poor Mesh but can not get rid of the wedges. I have also tried to search the forum but I can't find a similar issue. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Using Hard Behavior on edge sizing might solve the problem.

If the leftmost edge is slightly longer then using element size may result in one additional division at that edge, casuing wedges to generate. In that case it is better to use equal number of divisions at each vertical edge.

The problem was that the volumes were slightly offset (0.00001 ft) and fixing that resolved the issue. I had tried the hard behavior but since it was Shared Topology, the issue persisted. But thanks for the input!
