Is ICEM 17 backward compatible with ICEM 14.5? I want to open the project files made in ICEM 14.5 in ICEM 17 to run the mesh quality check.

Hi Granzer,
As fas as I know, I think you don't have problems with forward compatibility. However, backward one, I think...is restricted to just the current release and the two previous.. For geometry, there is no problem becasue you can save your tetin file as other previous releases.. but for blocking... the only thing I know is the legacy ANSYS ICEM CFD 4.0 format... and ANSYS ICEM CFD 5.0 is currently working from ANSYS 11... Hope this helps... |
