Hello everyone!
I have problem with ICEM which I have never seen before. I did a simple mesh of turbine blade using tetra/prism. Geometry contains different parts e.g. blade, inlet, shroud etc and one inner body FLUID. When I turn off part in tree the shell mesh hides properly. Checking mesh, no problems. All seams to be perfect. But after reading mesh in CFX there is only one BC region called FLUID 2 so I can't set any boundary. The problem is the same in Workbench as well as in ICEM standalone. I tried *.cfx5 and *.msh mesh format but there is no difference. When I export the mesh in CGNS format all BC are visible in CFX but with slightly different names (no problem for me). I tried different ANSYS version 17.2, 17.1, even 16 and problem always occurred. As the mesh works with CGNS I think the problem may be with come ICEM internal file or maybe some error with ICEM boco file reads.
Id anyone had faced up similar problem and now the solution please share.
Thanks,
Best for all,
Johny

you have create the parts from the boundaries which are there in CFX pre if you have defined them in ICEMCFD.

I have never problem with this. So far I used blocking for meshing, created parts from surface boundary and it worked fine in CFX. But this time I wanted to computed tetra mesh, I created all boundary, the same like in blocking and it didn't work. There wasn't any boundary in CFX. As I said, when I export mesh in CGNS boundary has worked. So I guess it isn't problem with boundary created in ICEM but something with exporting.
