Dear All,
I am a new user of ANSYS ICEM CFD. My work is creating 3D geometry of a spiral tube using ANSYS ICEM 17.1. Information for the Spiral Tube The spiral tube is formed by joining sixteen 45 degree elbows joined together by twisting each adjacent elbow at 90 degree. The pipe elbows are a 45 degree elbow defined by the following three parameters: The bend angle , α (elbow angle) = 45 degree Internal Diameter of Pipe, d = 54.8 mm Elbow Bend radius, r = 75 mm Angle of twist, β = 90 degree Please find attached diagrams: Figure 1: Elbow parameters Figure 2: This is a typical spiral tube formed by joining sixteen 45 degree elbows twisted at 90 degree angles TASKS SOUGHT: 1. How to create the 45 degree elbow using ANSYS ICEM 17.1 2. How to twist the elbows to form a spiral tube using ANSYS ICEM 17.1 I would appreciate your candid efforts in explaining in details, steps I should follow to accomplish the above tasks. Thanks. izu |
