Hi Everyone,
I am struggling to get conformal interface between rotating and stationary domain for the Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. I have same number of nodes and node distribution still I am hitting with the problem. What would be the probable solution to avoid it. I am using hexa mesh in both the regions.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!

While merging the mesh with tolerance try to turn on ignore projection. It may help

I have created two separate project files for both the domains and imported it to the solver. I did not merge it please correct me if I am missing anything.

If you didnt merge in mesher then, you can merge them in Fluent itself.
Go to mesh-> fuse then select the two parts which you want to merge and give very small tolerance.

I have sliding interface between stationary and rotating domain. I do not know about fusing but I will try what you said.

Hi Kushal,
I have tried what you said but I don't want to fuse the mesh because after fusing, the mesh corresponding to rotating region will not rotate.

I have a rotating domain in light green colour and the stationary domain in green colour. I want exact overlapping of nodes at marked positions.

But why you need exact overlapping nodes when you are working with rotomachinery. If you are not not merging the nodes then there is no point of having same nodes on both the interface

Thanks a lot for your help Kushal. I have solved my problem by creating both the domains in a single project file.
