Hi,
I am trying to create prism layers around a square prism to capture the boundary layer flow in an external flow simulation. I tried doing it in 2 ways: 1. I created volume mesh of tetra elements using the octree method and then added the prism layers using the "create prism layers' checkbox. When I did this the prism layers became curved near the corners of the square body as shown in the attached figure 1. 2. In the second method, I first created tri elements on the surface of the square body and then tried creating prism layers using 'existing mesh' option. In this case the prism layers were created inside the square body rather than outside it (figure 2). I tried using the 'extrude into orphan region' option also but it was of no use. How do I create prism layers either from existing surface mesh or volume mesh? Thanks. |
