Hello I wanted to know if it was possible to vary the seeds on an edge without it adusting all other parallel edges. I have switched off copy parameters however it still chages all the other edges. This is one as i am meshing a HVOF gun and the inlet is 30mm and outlet 8mm and when meshing I have a obtained very poor aspect ratio.

Hi sunil,

you seem to miss a concept of structured meshing. If you change the element count on one edge, all parallel edges must have the same element count.

High aspect ratio is not neccessarily bad. Depending on the flow it might not be a big deal, such as boundary layer elements aligned with the flow.

Check that no edges are linked to each other (where the problem is). If they would, the spacing could be copied automatically.

And, if you want specific help... you need to describe your problem specifically/in detail. Though this would not garantee to get an answer... But i believe, it will increase the chance =)

With regards,
Sebastian

the flow I am interested in has multiphase, combustion, tubulence and compressible effects so I require a high quality mesh. what i have is a nozzle which extrudes fluid out into the environment as i want to model the spray for coating process.

This might be a good read for you, too:

Before you start a thread, see if you can find answers here

The point "Please Be Specific" is very important.

In case you need help on meshing, write something on your meshing, make pictures to explain. Show what you have tried, what didn't work...

Regarding your first question, you might search the help for "swept block".

With regards,
Sebastian
