Hi all,
I have imported the mesh from an STL file in ICEM 16.2. The mesh represents a 3D voxelized model of a rock. I am looking for the quickest possible mesh generation method for such a geometry. Since all the voxels have got the same size, I thought it could be a good idea to apply a hexa-dominant mesh of the same voxel size. Please see attached an enlarged screenshot of the model. The compressed mesh STL file can be downloaded from here. In the global mesh setup section, I set the max element to the voxel size. I also set the volume mesh type to the Hexa-Dominant. Finally, in the compute mesh section, I set the input to be the "Existing mesh". However, I got many of the following error message: Code:
expecting 2 shells on edge # # found 4 More explanation: I imported another STL file of the same model as faceted geometry (not mesh). I then made curves, surfaces, and body. However, I got the same errors when I tried to generate the hexa-dominant mesh. The compressed geometry STL file can be downloaded from here. Any help is appreciated. .
