Hi everyone,

I'm looking to create a flow (liquid), encapsulated by a solid.

I've read somewhere about using DesignModeler, something about forming parts, but I do understand how to achieve 2 substance simulation.

How should I go about defining 2 substances? How must the geometry be created, etc (assuming this requires a separate method of mesh creation as opposed to a singular material analysis).

Also, I have read something about freezing and slicing. I can see how 3D works, but I am working on 2D as of now (can't seem to slice planar surfaces). Perhaps someone knows how?

/*Edit*/

I found a way to slice 2D planar surfaces, it involves using the function 'slice', but before that you will need to create a plane that cuts it. If working on the YX plane, most likely you will need a XZ plane, offset to the distance to cut the surface. With the new plane, go over to 'slice' and use that as the base plane to cut by clicking 'generate' at the end.

/*Edit*/

Thanks for reading

Cheers,
Simon
