Hi all,
I have an issue where the mesh is fully shown in the 'Mesh' tab of Fluent. However when I access the 'Solution' tab, the rotor domain containing the inner blades are empty. Please see attachments. Any solutions? With thanks, Alec W |

could you check your mesh detail in mesher you have meshed with compatible with mesh>check and mesh>info in FLUENT ?

I have clicked Mesh>Check and I recieved this error: WARNING: The mesh contains high aspect ratio quadrilateral, hexahedral, or polyhedral cells. The default algorithm used to compute the wall distance required by the turbulence models might produce wrong results in these cells. Please inspect the wall distance by displaying the contours of the 'Cell Wall Distance' at the boundaries. If you observe any irregularities we recommend the use of an alternative algorithm to correct the wall distance. Please select /solve/initialize/repair-wall-distance using the text user interface to switch to the alternative algorithm. -- I believe I know what the issue is now, however, if you do have a solution please advise. |

I have faced that problem that is relevant to meshing you had done.
Please check your mesh metric and you see that max aspect ratio is higher 100 (required 40 for flow problems), and min orthogonal quality is lower than 0,1. ( expected min 0,1 or 0,2 ) And go on FLUENT, and run it your problem |

Mesh Quality: Minimum Orthogonal Quality = 4.84649e-02 (Orthogonal Quality ranges from 0 to 1, where values close to 0 correspond to low quality.) Maximum Ortho Skew = 9.51535e-01 (Ortho Skew ranges from 0 to 1, where values close to 1 correspond to low quality.) Maximum Aspect Ratio = 1.40086e+02 -- May you tell me if there is issue with these values? |

(Orthogonal Quality ranges from 0 to 1, where values close to 0 correspond to low quality.) Maximum Aspect Ratio = 1.40086e+02 results are seen as I have expected. Well, you need to make your model finer mesh. do it, adjust both of them as I written above post. |

Dont forget that max. skewness should be lower than 0.95 ( preferred below 0.9) |
