Hi,
I am working on a mesh of of plate with sharp edges at the end, for my LES simulation in openFaom. I am using ANSYS for the meshing, unfortunately due to the sharp edges, when I convert the mesh to the openfoam I get a very high non-orthogonality (above 80). I am using cutcell with inflation layer around the plat , as shown in the attached pictures. I tried to play around with the growth rate and the angle in the general mesh advance options and increase it from 140 to 180. I have a reduction in the non-orthogonality but by very small amount. Is their any advice how to improve the mesh around the sharp edges? |

I tried to use different technique than the cutCell. It also didn't give me a good mesh.

it seems good actually, I have a coarsener mesh than you did.
Growth rate is relevant to first layer thickness and total boundary layer thickness |
