I have been doing one particular simulation for my research using ANSYS 15.0. I have done the modelling, no problem with it though. Unfortunately whenever I am trying to generate meshes there is always an error or two. My simulation problem involves an equilateral triangular body of base 20 mm placed inside a computational domain. The length of the computational domain is 142 mm and the breadth is 100 mm. There is an approaching shock wave just at the tip of the triangular body at time t = 0. The shock has a Mach Number of 1.34. Meshes couldn't be generated in the computational boundary as such. Also I could not give an approaching shock wave just at the tip of the triangular body. How could I solve these two problems for my simulation in my research. The error message for the meshing problem was as follows, A software execution error occurred inside the mesher. The process suffered an unhandled exception or ran out of usable memory. The modelling was done using ANSYS Design Modeler and the meshing was done using ANSYS Meshing (Fluid Flow Fluent). Thanks in advance............

not sure about other but one of the problem could be that you dont have enough memory( as per error)
check how much it is utilizing when you are kicking your run in task manager! |
