Hi !
I am working on Ansys 16.2 (Windows 7), and I have to reproduce this 3D mesh (quadrilateral pave grid) for my work, but i don't know at all how to do it since I am new to Ansys (but i have worked a lot on Star-CCM+), and that is why I would like some advices/help please. I tried to mesh it with "cut cells" but it does not create the mesh i want, and the other option is "tetraedric cells" which i don't want. It seems there are some kind of "mesh concentrations points", any ideas on how to it ? Because I have never seen that kind of mesh before. Thank you in advance, Lucas |

this mesh is either created in Gambit with options used as "Tri-primitive and map elements" or using ICEM CFD hexa.
In gambit you alot of subdivision of your domain into small faces where you can make the requirement mesh type/method In ICEM CFD, you need to apply same splitting on blocking which can be quite handy. Also there is software gridpro, which can make such meshes with builtin algorithms like nesting. Btw, whoever done this work, was quite artistic. |
