Hi all,
Ive got a surface from solidworks imported to designModeler its an airfoil surface which i would be subtracting from flow domain using boolean but i would like to rotate this surface about the axis passing through the point the two splines used to make the airfoil surface are joined and be parallel to the z axis (the sketch i have is 2d so z axis is perpendicular to it ). So is there a way to do it ??
I know about body transform >rotate but how do i make that axis ive failed miserably trying to make it . I know it might be very easy for you but I work mostly on solidworks and designmodeler is a bit new to me .

In the menu bar.

Create ---> Body Transformation ----> Rotate

I am facing the same problem. I just want to rotate the object with respect to Z-axis. But I can't select Z-axis in the Axis Selection option. How can I Do that?

siw will become famous soon enough
I assume you have Rotate -> Axis Definition = Selection and you cannot select an axis to populate the Axis Selection = None box.

Have you changed to Axis Definition = Components, then use the default X Component = Y Component = 0 and Z Component = 1 to rotate about the z-axis only and set the required angle.
