Hello,

I have a cubic geometry with multiple face splits generated in the ansys modeler which will serve as velocity inputs for a Fluent simulation. I am quite new to ICEM, but I don't really know how to export those face splits to ICEM so that they are considered parts (and, thus, boundary conditions). I have tried to export the geometry and split the face already in ICEM, but it is giving me some trouble (bug?).

Thanks a lot for your help

Eduardo

Hello again,
I managed to solve the issue when importing the planes. Actually I believe it was a very simple question, my bad.
I am now trying to mesh the domain I attach with ICEM. It is a room with multiple flow inlets (roof) and outlets (close to the floor) and obstacles in the domain. I am quite new to the blocking meshing strategy, I am trying to follow the next steps but I don't know if they are correct:

1. Generate parts for the inlets/outlets.
2. Block the whole geometry.
3. Split the block and remove the blocks associated to the obstacles.
4. Merge the blocks.
5. Split the block close to the inlets outlets so that a block is associated to each one.
6. Merge again the blocks so that there are not so many blocks.

Is that a correct strategy?

Thanks for your help,

Eduardo
