I am dealing with periodicity problems in icem. I am using 120 degree ( 1/3 rd) part of my geometry and did surface blocking to create shell mesh.
Before generating the mesh: Mesh -> Global Mesh Set Up -> Set up periodicity. Then, define periodic vertices in the blocks with "Periodic vertices" including axis. I convert to unstruct mesh and then I did "Check mesh" and problems related to periodicity appear. Current Coordinate system is global Running diagnostics for Periodic problems in subset "all" triangle 14485 has node 7668 which has no twin triangle 14486 has node 7671 which has no twin triangle 14487 has node 7672 which has no twin triangle 14488 has node 7669 which has no twin triangle 14489 has node 7670 which has no twin triangle 14490 has node 7675 which has no twin triangle 14491 has node 7672 which has no twin triangle 14492 has node 7668 which has no twin triangle 14493 has node 7679 which has no twin triangle 14494 has node 7680 which has no twin triangle 14495 has node 7677 which has no twin triangle 14496 has node 7683 which has no twin triangle 14497 has node 7678 which has no twin triangle 14498 has node 7684 which has no twin Maximum distance from periodic 8.03887e-014 between vertices 9192 and 9894; Fixed there are problems with the periodicity Selected visible vertexs Selected 32 vertices Done project vertices. I have created mesh like 5 or 6 times now even used robust octree method and then creating volume mesh using delauny but same problem exsist. When i export mesh to fluent it says error object f , the number of elements not same, so it aborts. Please help i am stuck i have very less time to complete this project in college.
