Fluent reading wrong mesh type

Hi there, I am relatively new to CFD and the forum too. I am currently carrying out a project on the front wing of a race car and I'm at the stage where I'm adding the moving road to simulate a wing in ground effect.
I have been using ICEM to create my mesh which to the eye looks fine however when I export into fluent it automatically selects 3d when the mesh I created is a 2d mesh. I have associated all the edges to curves for the domain and exported a 2d mesh before entering fluent but still decides the mesh is in 3d. I have previously been learning to mesh through this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VuZiDIl704 which was great and easy to follow. However, this tutorial was in free space and now I'm having to add in the ground which has created a world of problems. I was wondering whether anyone had any idea what I could do to try make fluent read the 2d mesh or if there are any suggestions into what I could do to my mesh to allow the exported file to be read correctly by fluent. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Tom. The files can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4dcftkryp...UxGLr1__a?dl=0 |
