Hello,

I've been trying to create a mesh for an annular flow region with helical fins for a while now with no success. The geometry is very tricky to show in an image file so I attached the ICEM files in a zip folder for you to see.

There's an entrance region which is a simple annular flow region which then goes into an annular region with 4 helical fins that wrap around the inner pipe. I'm not quite sure how to mesh this part. I tried 3D blocking but something tells me I have to start with 2D instead.

Anybody has any experience with this type of geometry?

Regards,

Amjad
