Hi, everyone

I am using ANSYS Meshing module to mesh a cuboid fluid domain with hex cells. In order to use different cell sizes at different places, the body is divided into several smaller cuboids.
My idea comes from a thread '3D Multiblock Structured Hexahedral Mesh' in this forum:

edge sizing (control the bias factor along the edge)- mapped face sizing - multizone -generate mesh.
But I found the sizing control before generating the mesh did not work sometimes. Could anyone explain the true procedure to doing this?

Thanks very much,

Hao

where is the error when the sizing control did not work?

Hi, I just tried on the options for Multizone. It seemed to be worked out after I chose 'uniform' instead of 'program controled' under 'surface mesh method'.

noticed you have multiple bodies make sure to join them into one part, or you will not have conformal meshing
