Hi,
I am creating the mesh around a 2D cylinder using ICEM. I created the parts (top, inlet, bottom, outlet, cylinder) and assigned them the correct curve. I make the blocking, premeshing, then I convert to unstructured mesh. When I assign the boundary conditions, I saw that when I fix the boundary condition to the top part, all the far field (top, inlet, bottom) highlights. Indeed when I import the mesh in fluent I just have top, cylinder and outlet bcs. Do you have any tips to how to solve this issue? I tried to delete the top part and create a new top, but results do not change or I get the followign error: Mesh has uncovered edges. ANSYS Fluent needs a complete boundary (lines in 2D) or it will give a variety of errors and not read in the mesh! If this was 2D Hexa, perhaps your edges are not associated with perimeter curves. I really appreciate if anyone can give me some tips to how to solve the problem! Thanks a lot!!! Fabio |
