We have generated a multi-region (solid-fluid) mesh in SnappyHexMesh.
We are also able to change the mesh to the fluent type of mesh using the right conversion. As it was suggested in one of other threads, we append the mesh of the solid and fluid in fluent, and then to create the shadow walls we use merge nodes option. Now, here is the problem, in fluent the case works fine for the flow. however, about 50 iteration after we enable energy equation, the solution diverges. solver cannot find the right values for temperature. another point is that when we do not merge the nodes (not creating shadow walls) energy equation also converges. but I guess the problem is that there is no conjugated heat transfer. Can anybody help us with this problem? Thanks, bp |
