Meshing a cavity in an airfoil

Hello everybody,
I'm trying to mesh an airfoil with a small cavity in it, but there is a problem with the o-grid mesh over the cavity (it messes up the distribution of the cells so that no matter how many cells I specify along the airfoil surface, I can only get one cell over the cavity, see 1st photo). I'm sure that this is because of the gap in the airfoil because I have never had this problem before. I'm not sure if it's a blocking problem, or associations problem or something different. mesh.jpg blocks.jpg Would really appreciate it if you could give me some advice with it for my Masters Thesis. Many thanks, Karim |

Isnt this an ICEM problem? Change the description so ICEM users will go through this. It currently says ansys meshing...

Hi hwet, thanks for your reply. It is an ICEM problem, but I couldn't find a sub forum dedicated to ICEM. I thought that ICEM problems are under ANSYS.
