Default Point density as a custom function/spline (Pre-Mesh Params)?

Hello Guys,

I am very new to ICEM and CFD etc since I only started my bachelor thesis. My topic is more focused on the pre-CFX file so I was only given a brief introduction to icem.
After some time googleing and looking through the forums I havent found a solution for a custom input function/spline for the point density over length...

I am working with a very simple geometry at the moment (see album http://imgur.com/a/BCnWT). Its a cuboid with only 1 cell in z direction to make it a 2D Problem. Thing is, I want to vary the Point density over the length to get higher resolution in certain areas. I dont want to increase the number of nodes since I need to save nodes in the long run.

The Point density over length should be periodic for my case. All I want to do is add a custom function in the pre mesh params (see album http://imgur.com/a/BCnWT).
I seem to have found an option but i am left with
1.) What kind of file does it need to be?! it gives me the option (file > load from file) to access a file but opens a window where ALL types of files can be opened...
2.) How do I create such a file? Creating the function would be easy (I am thinking about some kind of always positive sinus function) but I have no idea how to create a file.
3.) Or do you guys know an alternative way how i can accomplish my goal?

Thanks for helping out a beginner!

Found a solution.

You can export the red dots of the points that you made into excel. there you make a custom function/points and insert them in the same format into ICEM.
