[ANSYS Geometry] Error: Operation would result in non-manifold bodies

Hi, I'm studying with ANSYS Fluent a particular geometry which consists in an horizontal pipe with a spiral pipe rolling around the horizontal one (you can see the geometry in the .jpeg attached).
I created it in Solid Works and then imported in ANSYS. In solid works I created separately different bodies and then I repeated them in order to create the entire geometry, after importing the file in ANSYS, the first thing I am trying to do is to unite all these different bodies. I select all the bodies of the spiral tube, I unfreeze them and then when I press "generate" an error occurs saying "Error: Operation would result in non-manifold bodies". It seems to me very strange because if I unfreeze all the bodies exept the last two on the righr it works, so the problem is (I think) in these two last bodies. I'm not very expert in ANSYS-Fluent, I've started to use it few weeks ago, so maybe I am forgetting something to do. Please can you help me? Thanks PS:FILE ATTACHED: -unfreeze_1 shows the geometry (horizontal pipe, spiral external pipe-the one I try to unfreeze, the internal spiral which is the fluid) - unfreeze_2 shows the unfreeze error - unfreeze_3 shows that, if I try to unfreeze only the 3 spirals withouth the two endings the unfreeze command is working - unfreeze_4 shows that if I unfreeze the three spirals and the left-ending it is working I've uploaded the geometry file FFF.zip here http://dropmefiles.com/9nGYF if you want to download it and try to solve the problem! |
