Hello everybody,

i need urgent technical support.

Till last week i was using ansys r12.1, after instalation of ansys 14.5 it crashes after loading of geometrie. APDL is without problems, in full working. Licence is ok.
Instalation of 14.5 without : antivirus, firewall and offline.
I tried to repair it by recommendations to forums.
I used to repair, reinstal windows, installation new graphics drivers, i have all current C ++ Library.

Technical parameters PC:
AMD FX 8350, RAM 16GB
Quadro 600
windows 7 ultimate

Problem Description: Any Mechanical application - Mechanical, Meshing, Design-Modeler & FEModeler will not run after a Red Hat 6.x update: RHSA-2014:1436. Starting Design Modeler from WorkBench simply hangs for two to three minutes and then presents an error: "Unable to start the geometry editor." Mechanical also fails to start. Platform - Redhat6.x or derivatives

The fix is a simple rename of a folder. In the path below rename the X11 folder to Old-X11

/ansys_inc/v150/commonfiles/MainWin/linx64/mw/lib-amd64-linux/

Hello,

I'm like the same problem, but not can not find the file path, so meeting up commonfiles. I use Windows 7 - 64 bit, Ansys version 16.1.

That path corresponds to a Linux installation not Windows. So I don't think you'll find it. Your issue is probably related to something different.
